14 children from years 2-5 were invited to St. George’s Hall to participate in ‘The Alice Experience.’ It was a special production to mark the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s famous book, Alice in Wonderland. St. George’s Hall was completely transformed into Wonderland and the children were led through the story by actors and encouraged to take part in the singing. It was a fabulous chance to see a book transformed into a real production, guided through several rooms instead of on a stage.
I liked singing the songs at Alice in Wonderland experience and my favourite room was the forest. I made a new friend from St. Sebastian’s.

I went to St. George’s Hall to the Alice Experience and we went to a lot of colourful rooms. My favourite was the trial and I think everyone had a great time.
Jack, Year 4
The Alice Experience was fantastic because you got to go around the area. First we went to the picnic then Alice shrunk. Next we saw the flowers and I thought that was funny. After that we went to the forest, it was great.
Callum, Year 4
The Alice in Wonderland Experience was really exciting and fun. We were not sitting in one place but moving around St. George’s Hall’s rooms. My favourite part was the Jabberwocky Forest because it was quite frightening but also really fun.
Amy, Year 4
When we went to the Alice Experience the whole of St. George’s Hall was vibrant and colourful, especially when we visited the flowers and who could forget the wacky and wonderful mushrooms. In conclusion, the flowers and mushrooms were my favourite activities during the Alice Experience.
Sean, Year 5
I really enjoyed the Alice Experience. My favourite part was when the rabbit was growing small; it looked real. I also enjoyed peeking through the holes with the Mad Hatter to spy on the Queen of Hearts. The Jabberwocky Forest was decorated with giant mushrooms and every other rooms was a scene in the experience.
Rebekah, Year 5
I really enjoyed the Alice Experience because it was like we were actually in a Wonderland. It was fun following Alice because you got to see everything. My favourite part was when Alice drank the potion and then she shrank and went through the door.
Shea, Year 5
