Sports Writing Competition

Children from Years 3, 5 and 6 entered a Sports Writing Competition from the Liverpool Echo & Post and Liverpool University. They had the chance to write about sport for example, their favourite sports star, a poem about sport or a story about sport. St. Cuthbert’s swept the board in the primary section winning first, second and third prizes, what a superb achievement! Amber in Year 3 came first winning a Kindle Fire, Adam from Year 6 took second place winning a Kindle e-reader and Kian also from Year 3 came in third winning £50 vouchers for Waterstones. The children were presented their prizes in a ceremony in Liverpool University by Jamie Carragher! He was very impressed with our pupils even giving them a signed book and answering all their questions. What a wonderful time they had, we are very proud of all our winners, huge congratulations!
